Justice Secretary – investigation into prisoner escape – hunt for ex-soldier
The man who escaped from Wandsworth Prison accused of trying to gather information for Iran.
Daniel Abed Khalife due to stand trial in November.
Justice Secretary Alex Chalk said – “No stone left unturned in getting to the bottom of what happened.” He described it as a “grave security breach”.
Chalk also said – strapping found underneath the vehicle.
It is believed Daniel Abed Khalife escaped via a prison kitchen. Khalife strapped himself to the underside of a food delivery van.
A UK wide manhunt on for the terror suspect who escaped from Wandsworth prison in London on Wednesday 6 September.
Daniel Abed Khalife, 21, awaiting trial at HMP Wandsworth in London after accused of leaving fake bombs at a military base.
UK police forces and UK border points asked to look for the escaped prisoner.
