Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry – Preliminary hearing

Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry – Preliminary hearing – morning session

During the preliminary hearing, the Inquiry will screen a short film intended as a formal and lasting recognition of the suffering caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to the people of Scotland.

The session is an opportunity for the Inquiry to explain how it will do its work and lead to the first set of impact hearings, due to begin late October 2023.

Discretion is advised as the film contains words and images which viewers may find distressing.

If affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, there’s a list of organisations which can provide support. Follow the link below.

The Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry has launched its listening project, Let’s Be Heard. This is the main way in which people in Scotland can take part in the Inquiry.  The people can share their experiences of the pandemic by telling the inquiry the lessons that they believe should be learned so better prepared in future.
