Baftas 2023: Austin Butler best leading actor – for his performance in Elvis
Austin Butler awarded one of the top accolades of the night. His role as Elvis was praised by film critics across the globe.
The actor thanked all of the crew and team he worked with on the film. Austin Butler admitted he was ‘just trying to take it all in,’ as he fought back tears while accepting the honour.
He beat the favourite Colin Farrell who appeared in a shock and upset.
It was the 76th British Academy Film Awards, also known as the BAFTAs. Held on 19 February 2023, honouring the best national and foreign films of 2022.
