Government to accelerate process of asylum seekers – will it get the first flight off the ground?
This follows the High Court rules that the Government plan to send some asylum seekers to Rwanda is lawful.
Speaking in the House of Commons, Home Secretary Suella Braverman said Government would take immediate action to accelerate decision making and improve our asylum system.
This suggests the government aims to begin the Rwanda deal as soon as possible.
In response, Labour’s Yvette Cooper called the plan ‘unworkable, unethical, extortionately expensive’.
