Ben Proud wins England’s first swimming gold – congratulations we are proud!
Ben Proud won England’s first swimming gold in the men’s 50m butterfly at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
He had an excellent start – went into the lead and he did it!
Ben, who gave England a great start, touched home first to take the gold! He won with a Commonwealth Games record time of 22.81s.
