Platinum Jubilee The Queen’s Birthday Parade – a perfect day

Queen’s message – she is ‘inspired by the goodwill’ shown to her ahead of four days of events.

The Queen was joined by her cousin the Duke of Kent to inspect parading troops.

A massive crowd gathered to cheer the Queen for her birthday and Platinum Jubilee. This the start of celebrations to mark an unprecedented event in British history.

Queen came to the throne 70 years ago and is Britain’s longest-reigning monarch.

More than 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians come together in the traditional Parade.  This to mark The Queen’s official birthday held on the second Saturday in June.

It begins at Buckingham Palace.  The Parade will move down The Mall to Horse Guard’s Parade. It’s joined by members of the Royal Family on horseback and in carriages.

The Parade to close with the traditional RAF fly-past, watched by The Queen and members of the Royal Family from the Buckingham Palace balcony.
