PM targets Russia with sanctions – watch Boris outline the action
Boris Johnson: five banks and three individuals targeted a “renewed invasion” of Ukraine.
The PM told MPs the UK must now “steel itself for a protracted crisis”.
He added: the “first barrage” of sanctions will be extended if the situation escalated further.
Russian President, Vladimir Putin, ordered troops into two rebel-held regions. They were in Donetsk and Luhansk. This after recognising them independent.
Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer welcomed the sanctions but said the UK “must be prepared to go further”.
What are your thoughts on this? Should there be more sanctions?
