Covid isolation cut to 5 days in England – watch Sajid Javid explain

The isolation period for people who test positive for Covid cut to five ‘full days’ says Sajid Javid.

The minimum self-isolation period in England is changing from Monday 17 January.

Health Secretary, Sajid Javid told MPs people will be able to leave isolation from the start of day six after two negative tests.

Sajid Javid said – although the UK learning to live with Covid the NHS remains under significant pressure over the next few week.
