Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared onstage at the 2021 Global Citizen Live concert at Central Park in New York. Harry says hello to 60 million people across the Globe.
They urged rich countries to share one billion doses of Covid-19 vaccines with nations that are struggling most with the pandemic. They have made this push before.
Global citizen described the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as “two of the strongest voices on vaccine equity”. Others say it is a top class publicity campaign.
The event was the Big Apple’s contribution to the international music festival to raise awareness for humanitarian causes. This included the effort to deliver COVID-19 vaccines to poverty-stricken nations around the world.
