Boris: UN Climate talks – US lifts covid travel ban – France

Press briefing following the Informal Leaders Roundtable with the Secretary-General and the British Prime Minister.

The event took place as world leaders prepare to take part in the 76th UN General Assembly, which officially opened on September 14 and will end on 27 September.

There is a “six out of 10” chance of getting other countries to sign up to financial and environmental targets ahead of November’s key COP26 climate change conference, the UK PM has said.

Boris Johnson also reacted to the claims about France being unhappy with the Australian submarine deal and the energy prices in the UK.

PM said the decision by the US to lift covid travel ban for the vaccinated UK and EU travellers came sooner than expected.
