Watch live from 12.30pm BST as family members of the victims of the 2001 and 1993 terrorist attacks gather in New York City for a commemoration ceremony. Today marks 20 years since 9/11.

Moments of silence held to mark the times at which the attacks happened and families read the names of victims in pairs.  There are many names and lots of tears.  Emotions are pouring out and readers breaking down as the crowd listen and watch. Many wearing a blue ribbon to mark the 20 years since 9/11.

September 11 attacks are also known as 9/11.  A series of four coordinated terrorist attacks were carried out by the militant Islamist terrorist group al-Qaeda against the United States of America.  It happened on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001.

Close to three thousand people were killed during the attacks.
