Tokyo: GB wheelchair rugby player Kylie Grimes – watch her go!
Kylie Grimes is currently the only female in the Great Britain wheelchair rugby squad. But would encourage anyone to take up the sport.
Grimes from Farnham in Surry, is a lesson in positive thinking. “Nothing is a failure… it’s a lesson, it’s there to make you more resilient,” she tells us. “Not everything goes smoothly, and you don’t always win… go again, don’t give up.”
She’s going again by representing Paralympics GB at the Tokyo 2020 Games in 2021, having also competed at London 2012. British teammates Stuart Robinson and Aaron Phipps also give their input on why having males and females competing together in a contact sport is a great leveller.
