NASA Live: Spacewalk to install new ISS Solar Arrays – watch live

Join NASA live from space on Sun. June 20 to cheer on NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough and European Space Agency astronaut Thomas Pesquet.  They continued work installing new, roll-up solar arrays on the International Space Station.

The duo spend just over 6 hours in the vacuum of space on this demanding task.  There were times when it was dark.

The two astronauts worked together to align the solar arrays.  It is a highly technical exercise with special expertise required to get it done.  It’s tricky but once in place it will stay.  NASA has confirmed the alignment has been completed and works.

Day’s work done and NASA has another space walk planned for the two astronauts June 25.
