David Cameron grilled by MPs over Greensill lobbying – watch live

Called to the Treasury Select Committee the former PM David Cameron opened his defence by saying it is a ‘painful day’ to be called back to parliament ‘in these circumstances’.

He was being asked about his contact with government ministers when he was an adviser to Greensill Capital.

The Committee MPs probed the former Prime Minister’s personal finances.  Also his lobbying on behalf of the failed company Greensill Capital.

David Cameron to be grilled by two separate House of Commons committees, with questions likely to focus on the nature of his role, his use of the firm’s private jets and the extent to which he conducted due diligence.
