Scotland lifts travel ban from April 16 – to help mental health

The covid-19 restriction on travelling around Scotland is to be lifted from Friday April 16.  Also, people allowed to meet up in age groups outdoors.

First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon said measures being eased earlier than planned to help people’s mental health.

People allowed to meet in groups of up to six adults from six households in outdoor settings.  Also, permitted to travel across Scotland as long as they do not stay overnight.

Nicola Sturgeon also said: the data was encouraging as cases are at the lowest level since September and a 40% drop in positive cases in last two weeks, it means a significant change in Scotland earlier than expected

However international travel remains a risk.

Is this a good move by the First Minister?
