Beach sex art sold – exhibition closes after row with artist and council
An art collector has sold four sculptures bought from famed artist Sir Antony Gormley. Caroline Wiseman had set-up an exhibition of the pieces on a beach outside her art centre in Aldeburgh, Suffolk. But the artist criticised it saying the items, called Penis, Peg, Oval and Snowman were left lying down instead of being upright.
In any case the display needed council permission because of their sex toys appearance. However, a buyer has stepped in to take possession of the collection with the funds going to renovations of the exhibition centre.
ynuk.tv spoke to Caroline about her encounter with the four sculptures.
