PM: on track to reclaim our lives. Vaccine progress
In the last hour the European Medicines Agency has given AstraZenica the go head describing it as a safe vaccine.
Earlier in House of Commons Health Secretary told MPs that the government is on track to meeting its vaccine targets.
Matt Hancock said a batch of 1.7m vaccine doses have been delayed “because of the need to retest its stability”.
Health Secretary says the vaccine programme is on track and if people get the call to take up the offer and get the jab.
Also, the Matt Hancock told Parliament that Covid-19 vaccine supplies from Moderna in the coming weeks.
In the UK: There is no evidence the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine causes blood clots, the UK’s medicines regulator says after a “thorough and careful review”.
