Roadmap: social contact limits gone by June 21. Described as road to freedom

Boris Johnson delivered his “roadmap” out of England’s lockdown to the House of commons.  It has been in place since Jan 5.  The plans will be staged in four steps.

One of them schools. The government hopes to get all children back into schools with the youngest starting first.  Another would allow people to meet one other person outdoors for social purposes rather than just for exercise.

From 29 March: outdoor gatherings of either six people or two households allowed.  Also, outdoor sports, including football, golf and tennis.  Organised adult and children’s sport, such as grassroots football, also return.

Pubs bars restaurants and cafes allowed to reopen for outdoor drinking and dinging from 12 April.  All legal limit on social contact could end by 21June.  Hairdressers, barbers and beauty salons in England will be able to reopen on 12 April.
