Boris on Covid-19 – schools – red list countries
The Prime Minister made a statement on the pandemic in particular schools. This from the House of Commons.
PM: It will not be possible to reopen schools in England after half-term break next month. But we hope it will be safe to reopen schools from Monday 8 March.
PM: All arrivals into the UK from ‘red list’ countries to isolate in government procided accommodation such as hotels for 10 days
PM: Government will set out plans in the week beginning February 22 for the gradual and phased route out of the lockdown
During Question Time the PM said Home Secretary Priti Patel will lay out “tougher measures” for UK border controls this afternoon.
