Boris addresses Parliament ahead of lockdown debate

PM: Have no choice but to return to a nationwide lockdown

Starmer: perhaps one of the darkest moments of the pandemic

England’s third national lockdown is legally in force.  The Prime Minister addressed MPs after Parliament was recalled to debate legislation on the third lockdown.

The measures include a stay-at-home order and the closure of schools to most pupils.  Latest regulations announced by the prime minister on Monday.

All of the UK is now under strict virus curbs, with Wales, Northern Ireland and most of Scotland also in lockdown.

A total of 524 MPs voted in favour of the restrictions, compared to 16 who voted against.

Do you agree with this latest lockdown?  Should it be happening?  Is this only way to save lives?  Will people stay at home?  Time for the vaccine to kick in
