Prime Minister unveils new Tier system – addresses parliament
The Prime Minister has given details of his winter strategy.
PM: England lockdown ends December 2 with shops, gyms and hairdressers allowed to reopen
10pm curfew for pubs and restaurants in England replaced by last orders at 10p and close at 11pm
The announcement on which areas of England going into which tiers is expected Thursday.
PM: This year has been in many ways a tragic year when so many people lost loved ones. This will still be a hard winter. Christmas cannot be normal and there’s a long road to spring. But we have turned a corner and the escape route is in sight
Boris Johnson is delaying plans on allowing a small number of households across the UK to mix over a limited number of days around Christmas, as he addresses the Commons virtually. He is expected to reveal the details Tuesday November 24. This is because Scotland and Northern Ireland have yet to sort out how to deal with Christmas in their nations.
