Sturgeon: We are not going into full lockdown, we are not closing schools and not asking people to stay at home.  Clinical evidence suggests that the current restrictions are not ‘sufficient’.

Sturgeon: cafes only able to serve food and non-alcoholic drinks indoors from 6am to 6pm.  Restaurants and bars will be closed completely in five regions in the central belt of Scotland. Pubs, restaurants and cafes barred from selling alcohol indoors for 16 days from Friday, This in most of Scotland.

Nicola Sturgeon delivering new coronavirus restrictions in a statement to the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 7 October..

The announcement followed a cabinet meeting on Wednesday morning when details of the new restrictions will be decided.
