BBC Bosses quizzed by MPs on leadership – watch for the answers – 10:00

BBC’s Director General, Chair, Head of Policy and Chief Operating Officer appear before Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee.

It comes after the Corporation revealed the salaries of on-air talent and senior managers.  Also its income and cost-cutting plans in the annual report.

Impartiality and tweets among first questions.  Director General Tim Davie would remove twitter accounts if political. He would want to renew vows on impartiality.  The DG says important to change from internal to external.

Questions on licence fee.  If law abiding licence payer wants to give value for money.  No one wants to see anyone go to prison.

DG is tackled over regional issues . He says it is a critical part of the BBC’s future.  Strongest viewing is local news.  Tim Davie admits there are too many people in places.

Should changes be made at the BBC?  Would you like to see the licence fee abolished?  Pay levels reviewed?  Too many with too high a salary?
