TEAM GB – Alys Thomas Vlog – #1 Life of an Athlete during Lockdown – Destination Tokyo

Welsh swimmer Alys Thomas is first up to vlog about the life of an elite athlete during the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The European and Commonwealth butterfly medallist is looking to make her first Olympic appearance at Tokyo 2020 next year and provides us with an insight into how she adapted her training routine during lockdown, while showing us how she’s been able to safely return to the pool after months without access.

Stay tuned for more ‘Destination Tokyo’ content in the build-up to Tokyo 2020, capturing the day to day life of five British athletes (Alys Thomas, Shona McCallin, Tom Squires, Kimberley Woods and Naomi Ogbeta) as they prepare for the first ever postponed Olympic Games.
