Cinemas museums and pubs to reopen
Cultural life returns to England. Cinemas, museums and galleries will be able to reopen in England from 4 July. Boris Johnson due to make the announcement in parliament. PM also give an outline a further easing of coronavirus restrictions.
Venues closed since the middle of March will be able to welcome visitors as long as safety measures are in place.
People from two households can meet indoors from 4 July but should follow distancing rules.
Bowling Alleys, nightclubs, indoor gyms, swimming pools to remain closed.
If coronavirus runs out of control we will not hesitate to put handbrake on and reverse changes being made today
Hotels, B&Bs and hairdressers can open from 4 July.
The PM is also setting out how pubs can safely reopen following a review of the 2m distancing rule.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said on Monday the virus was “in retreat”.
