Times Radio to Rival BBC Radio 4 – launches 6am June 29
A new Radio Station hits the digital airwaves from 29 June. Times Radio backed by News UK owners of The Times group, launches with a line-up of key personalities. Among them John Pienaar, ex-BBC and broadcaster Mariella Frostrup.
Times Radio intends to be a direct rival to BBC Radio 4 with a ‘warm, expert’ tone. Will it win listeners? Two broadcast enthusiasts spoke to ynuk.tv about its chances.
