Boris Johnson faces MPs – amid calls for Cummings to resign – watch the exchanges
The PM questioned by the Liaison Committee as critics call for his chief adviser to resign. It marks the first time he has appeared before the Commons Liaison Committee – the only committee that gets to question the PM – since taking office.
MPs grilled Johnson on his aide, Dominic Cummings’ breaches of lockdown rules but he did not defend or support him. Also his government’s handling of the coronavirus crisis in the UK. The government’s coronavirus test and trace system will be up and running tomorrow (28 May).
