VE Poem: Our Heroes – as performed on BBC’s The One Show
Actor Christopher Eccleston performed this poem called Our Heroes. He was a guest on the show and invited to read this special tribute to NHS workers.
It was written by Matt Kelly who it is understood to be a fellow Salford lad. He was inspired to write it after hearing about the challenges his partner faced as she worked as a district nurse.
