Home Office Secretary Priti Patel MP is assigned to deliver the latest on the coronavirus outbreak. She will give the stats on hospital deaths in past 24 hours and those who have been admitted to hospital. Possibly talk about UK businesses and gradual lifting of restrictions possibly by mid-May.

Should not lose sight of the fact that the lockdown is now working. People should stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives. Stay strong the UK is not out of danger yet and rules must be followed.  It is vital the UK meets the five tests laid out by the govt before any restrictions can be changed.

National Cyber centre taken down illegal sites. Protect your children online. Details cyber aware website. Be vigilant of scams don’t open suspicious emails. We will continue to protect the public.

Professor Stephen Powis, National Medical Officer for NHS England: NHS there to help for people with conditions other than coronavirus. Vehicle use slowed down. Have seen a drop in walking, driving public transport according to Apple app. Getting sustained reduction of people treated in hospital in London and other parts of the country. If continue to comply with lockdown rules we will see a decline in number of deaths. It is critical absolutely critical to follow guidelines they do help with decline in cases. Traffic volumes are 59% lower than the first week of February. SAGE has been about scientist and experts, it is scientific discussion. Advice to government. Scientists make the contributions.
