Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Dominic Raab is the host. He opened by saying that PM admitted to hospital as a precautionary measure due to persistent symptoms and continues to lead government. If we take our focus off social distancing then we wont get through covid-19 peak as fast as we need to.
With him is Chris Whitty, Chief Medical Adviser to the UK Government:
Professor Dame Angela MacLain, Deputy Chief Scientific Adviser: too soon to see the effects of social distancing measures on hospital admissions in UK.
Government officials deliver the daily news briefing for UK developments during the coronavirus outbreak.
We should also get to hear about the Prime Minister and how his coping with the virus. He’s at St Thomas’ hospital believed to be on a respirator.
