The Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, is expected to announce that the taxpayer will pay self-employed workers up to 80% of their recent earnings. This is to help contain the economic impact of coronavirus.
This follows the Chancellors earlier decision to financially help the employed nation. It was a positive move but many said it had not gone far enough. Mr Sunak should have extended to the freelancer or self-employed.
