Parliament closes end of day – PMQs – last for this session of parliament

Prime Minister Boris Johnson answers questions from MPs and Leader of the Opposition Jeremy Corbyn at Prime Ministers’ Questions in the House of Commons.

It is the last PMQs for this session of parliament as it draws to an end amid the coronavirus outbreak.  Prime Minister’s questions will be the last for Jeremy Corbyn.  He was feisty and verbally attacked the Prime Minister.  Boris responded with certain calm.  A lot said about people staying home and the many not earning money as a result.

However, the pM praised the Labour leader for his part in PMQs, and wished him best for future.

Parliament is due to close after emergency laws to deal with the coronavirus have been passed.

As usual the politicians kept their distance and sat apart.
