MPs Back General Election. Country goes to the polls December 12

The UK is getting ready for a general election December 12.  This comes after Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn announced his party was ready to fight the “most radical campaign ever”.

Jeremy Corbyn said his condition of taking a no-deal Brexit off the table had now been met after the EU agreed to extend the deadline until 31 January 2020.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson can only hold an election with the support of MPs – who have blocked it three times.

But the PM’s fourth attempt was successful.  Tuesday, he got his way in Parliament and the nation will go to the polls.

Is this a good idea?  Do you want to vote in a General Election?  Who will you vote for?  Is it too close to Christmas?  Should there be an election at all?  Will it help get Brexit sorted? As far as Brexit is concerned have MPs failed?  Could some MPs lose their jobs?
