LIVE Greta Thunberg Arrives New York – on carbon-neutral vessel. WATCH AGAIN. On land Greta said her legs were still shaky. Asked about US President, the young activist said if she can’t convince Donald Trump about the environmental crisis Greta would, however, continue spreading awareness. Also wanted to meet with activists and planned to rest overnight in New York

Teenage environmental activist Greta Thunberg has landed in New York after a 15-day journey across the Atlantic by boat.  She will be participating in UN climate summits in New York City and Chile.

The 16-year-old Swede sailed from Plymouth in the UK on a zero-emissions yacht in order to minimise the carbon footprint of her travel.

On Wednesday morning, she anchored at Coney Island and came ashore in the afternoon.

When Greta was asked if she could make US President Donald Trump listen she answered with a simple “no”.  Later Greta added if Mr Trump did not listen she would continue her campaign.
