Replay: Russian Spacecraft With Humanoid Robot – another attempt to dock with ISS @ 03:30. Let’s hope it works!🛰👽

Nicknamed “FEDOR,” the Skybot F-850 on journey to International Space Station. That’s according to Russian space agency Roscosmos.

An un-crewed Soyuz MS-14 spacecraft failed to dock with the International Space Station on Saturday.  The spaceship was due to dock with the station’s Poisk module at 5:30 GMT.  However, it encountered issue with the Kurs automated docking system on the ISS.  NASA said the problem not with the Soyuz spacecraft.

Russian cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin and Alexander Skvortsov due to replace a signal amplifier unit in the Kurs system before second attempt.

Russian humanoid robot Skybot F-850 created to be a replacement for humans. The Skybot is programmed to do everything from rescue work to driving vehicles. The robot is equipped with AI used during the mission to monitor and report on conditions during the flight

The venture marks the first spaceflight of a humanoid robot for Russia.
