Piccadilly Goes Moon Walking. A virtual experience on the moon

Images from across the planet will ‘appear on the moon’ at  London’s Piccadilly Circus. It is to mark 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 and its moon landing.

A giant mosaic will lift off on the massive advertising hoarding at 9pm – 10pm  20th July. Behind the launch is award winning British artist Helen Marshall.

When the call went out for pictures of what ‘you were doing on the day astronauts walked on the moon’ there was a massive response.

The images have helped create a huge moon full of people.  All of them will experience a virtual encounter with the moon. Crowds will fill Piccadilly for the experience.

Take a look at how it’s likely to blast off.
