Boris Johnson Frontrunner Conservative Leadership Race. He tops the ten contenders.  In first round he topped Tory leadership poll with 114 votes in the contest to select new leader and next PM

Up until now Boris Johnson has remained out of the limelight turning down offers of media attention including interviews.

Now he has to come out in the open and reveals his plans for the Leadership and how he will handle Brexit. He says: After three years and two missed deadlines, we must leave the EU on October 31.

We simply will not get a result if we give the slightest hint that we want to go on kicking the can down the road with yet more delay.

“Delay means defeat. Delay means Corbyn. Kick the can and we kick the bucket.

The former Foreign Secretary has also pledged to cut income tax bills for people earning more than £50,000 a year if he wins.  Not bad for starters.  But not a popular idea.

Boris is well ahead in the race.  The polls have put him at the top.  Michael Gove and Jeremy Hunt are way behind him but second and third.  However who knows anything could happen.

What are your thoughts?  Will you back Boris?
