Julian Assange: Wikileaks Fear Expulsion. UK police arrested Assange after he was removed from the Ecuadorean Embassy in Knightsbridge.  Assange given asylum in June 2012.

Campaigners have been outside the Ecuadorean Embassy in Knightsbridge London since the news broke that he could be expelled. They gathered after Wikileaks revealed that the founder Julian Assange looked set to be forced out by the Ecuador government.

Once Julian leaves he could be extradited to the US where he faces charges for releasing top-secret documents.

Wikileaks said the departure was imminent.  It happened on Thursday 11 April 2019.  Also, that the relationship between Ecuadorean officials and Julian was that of a prisoner and his prison guards.  Future not looking good for Assange.

Up until now Ecuador has denied any plans to expel Julian Assange.

In June 2012, Quito granted Assange asylum and later citizenship on the grounds that he would face torture or death if extradited to America. Washington not initiated extradition proceedings. The story made worldwide headlines.  There was a sigh of relief when Ecuador came forward and offered asylum.

Embassy

Inside the Embassy, the Australian-born former hacker has a running machine for exercise and a sunlamp. He has claimed that his health has deteriorated. Julian complains that he has dental issues and chest problems. Let’s hope he is receiving medical care.  We understand that his room is not well lit at the back of the Embassy rooms.  He is no longer inside. Assange is with the British police.  His next move could be in the United States. At the time he entered the Embassy Britain said he would be extradited to US if it was requested.
