Theresa May’s Brexit Motion Defeated. Vote for 258 against 303. Majority of 45

Theresa May not there for the results of the motion.  Labour leader was angry and demanded the PM be called to the despatch box.  But the Speaker said Mrs May did not have to attend.

Up to 80 Tory backbenchers threatened to refuse to back the Prime Minister in the vote.

The MPs are allied to the European Research Group, chaired by senior Tory Jacob Rees-Mog.  They claim the motion effectively rules out a no-deal Brexit. Several Cabinet ministers were also understood to be considering quitting if a lengthy delay in the withdrawal process is agreed.

It is getting hot!  Not much time left.  The UK leaves the EU March 29.  This was voted for in a referendum in June 2016.

Despite this, clashes continue in and out of Parliament. Should it be a No Deal Brexit or a Theresa May deal?

Watch the results and the reaction from Jeremy Corbyn afterwards.

Well, here we go once again, up to the wire and still no exit. Don’t know why I’m not surprised when we have a person wanting to remain with very little skill in negotiating. She intends to emply 15,000 new civil servants and spend £4 billion to renegotiate the treaties with the EU and still we will remain shackled to the 27.
Can’t see what the issues is , just tell them we are leaving, cancel the £9 billion a year subs, and they can whistle for the £39 billion divorce bill. Leave means leave. How many more times can Teresa May humiliate us by asking what the EU would like from us instead of telling them where to get off. We need to stopp pussy footing around and leave, big business will swing into action as it always does when it sees the money, and they are poised to make shedloads of money with a no deal.
Both political parties are a waste of time, the government are in government but have no power, and a third election will only bring a new Brexit Party run by the only patriot in the room, Nigel Farage – So we are all sick of Teresa and here joke cabinet, all vieing for a place
    in the sun.
