Prime Ministers Questions – Theresa May and Brexit – replay. Wednesday October 10
It was a full chamber but Brexit made one question and one answer. Kenneth Clarke stood up and delivered his question. It took a little while but he got it out!
The Prime Minister was ready and eager to give her response. She outlined the advantages of leaving and reminded the House that the country voted to leave.
Asked about the issue Mrs May said she was working to secure the best possible agreement that respected the 2016 vote.
MPs, she said, had a duty to voters to ensure the UK left the EU in March, but in a way which protected jobs.
The EU has said “decisive progress” is needed in the coming days.
Did you watch PMQs. What are your thoughts about the Brexit question? Was Kenneth Clarke right to ask what is going on? The PM did not waste time in giving her answer and urged all MPs to support the deal.
