Boris Johnson Resignation Statement LIVE Replay

Boris Johnson Resignation Statement LIVE Replay.  He makes a formal announcement in the House of Commons.

Mr Johnson delivered an explosive message about his resignation.  The former Foreign Secretary wants to explain his reasons in the Chamber.

Sir Geoffrey Howe gave a similar speech back in 1990.  It caused controversy for the Conservative Party.

The Speaker John Bercow has given permission for Boris to make the statement.

Former Foreign Secretary has kept a low profile since his dramatic exit from the government.

He quit ten days ago, saying he could not support the PM’s plan for future relations with the EU.  Boris claimed the UK was on course for a “semi-Brexit”.

Some critics of Theresa May regard the ex-London mayor as a possible successor.  But should she be forced out over Brexit?

He pulled out of the 2016 leadership race won by Mrs May after his campaign manager Michael Gove decided to run himself.

Did you look forward to his speech?  It’s likely to be the most interesting made in some time.  Would you want Boris Johnson to be the next leader of the Tory Party?

When a referendum was taken for leave or stay in EU no mention was made by government that we could have a position where we could be involved in having a soft Brexit or a hard Brexit? I voted for Leave the EU? not to stay in a reduced EU where the EU still controls some of the terms?
So Why have we paid them Billions of Pounds for a reduced Brexit?

This country can be great again, all we have to do is believe in ourselves, that will never be accomplished while we continue to be little more vassal state to the EU.

I and the majority of the United Kingdom voted to leave.
