Donald Trump Baby Blimp Ready To Take First Steps. But will the US President get to see it?  He’s not expected to be in the capital for long during his visit.

A controversial blimp, that will fly to protest US president Donald Trump’s visit, is ready for launch, its organisers told the Victoria Derbyshire programme.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has given permission for the helium-filled six-metre (19.7ft) high balloon to fly.

Campaigners raised almost £18,000 to pay for the inflatable and more than 10,000 people signed a petition calling for the inflatable to be given permission to fly, but some have described it as “a disgrace” and “disrespectful.”

Is it a good idea to have this kind of protest? It is very tempting to get a needle out and prick the balloon. The deflating balloon would be just as interesting watch.

The US President landed in the UK Thursday afternoon. He will spend time with Theresa May, the American Ambassador and the Queen.  But their meetings expected to happen outside London. After that he’ll fly off to Scotland and spend a couple of days at his golfing resort.
