Looking Ahead to England v Colombia – Tuesday 3 July in Moscow. They were winners.  England broke their penalty jinx something they’ve not been able to do until now!

Gareth Southgate has labelled the World Cup clash against Colombia as England’s most important match in the last 10 years.

Colombia finished top of Group H and Harry Kane will no doubt be out to retain his place as top goal scorer of the tournament so far.

The Three Lions took on Jose Pekerman’s side in the last 16 on Tuesday night after finishing second in Group G following a 1-0 defeat by table-toppers Belgium.

Adnan Januzaj, formerly of Manchester United and Sunderland, curled home the only goal on 51 minutes.

Captain Harry Kane is top scorer at the tournament with five goals.

There were mixed feelings about this result.  And criticism of Gareth Southgate.  But overall fans continue to back Southgate’s decisions.

England have not won a knockout match at a major tournament since 2006.

What are your thoughts on Russia’s World Cup?  Have you been enjoying the games?  Football fan critics have enjoyed what has happened so far.  They have been having a good time in Russia.  In Moscow it may be a different scene.  Bigger place more restrictions.
