Bafta Awards 2018: Best Film – Three Billboards Outside Ebbing in Missouri. Scooped the top awards.

The Dark comedy was the biggest winner at the Bafta Film Awards, Royal Albert Hall in London.  It tells the story of a woman seeking justice for her daughter’s murder

The drama won five trophies including best film, best British film and best actress for Frances McDormand.  British born writer-director Martin McDonagh also won for the film’s original screenplay.

The winning team had been up several times to receive awards.  When it came to best film they said all the thanks you had been made. It was time to go out and celebrate.

More Awards

The Bafta (British Academy Film Awards) results will strengthen its chances at the Oscars.  They are in two weeks.  Although Bafta’s last three best films have not gone on to win best picture at the Oscars.

Let’s hope they hit it big in LA.  It is an awesome movie.

As well as best film, best British film and best actress, its haul included best supporting actor for Sam Rockwell and best original screenplay for McDonagh.  What a good feeling to know it has done so well.

Film is proving a huge success at the box office.  The awards will encourage more audience attendance.
