PyeongChang 2018 The Opening Ceremony – a preview of the glamour and glitz. This the kind of welcome athletes and spectators can expect on 9 February. It may be freezing but it is going to be fun.  The sport scenes are stunning.

South Korea planning to enthrall, entertain and impress the crowd. Ceremony for the opening night of the Winter Olympics 2018 will be the best.

The video shows some of the ideas put together for an artistic and creative occasion.  The stadium in PyeongChang will be packed with VIP guests, athletes and spectators.

Olympic officials are proud they have an outstanding presentation for Friday 9th February.  They promise a show that will stun the world. It will be followed by two weeks of great and exciting sport.

Korea will be presenting 102 events in 7 sports.  15 disciplines.  Sports include ski jumping, snowboard, curling.  bobsled, hockey, figure skating and luge.

There will be more than 50,000 athletes from over 100 countries competing in the Games.

The motto for the Games:  Passion.  Connected.  Korean.  Games begin on the 28th and end February 25.

The first Winter Olympics was held in Chamonix, France in 1924.  From then on they’ve gone from success to success. South Korea is confident the 2018 Games will achieve the best in sport.  Athletes

All the best athletes for the winter games have arrived.  Medals are their aim. Many will win gold, silver or bronze.  And they are pleased with their accommodation and sporting facilities.  It all looks beautiful in the snow. The scenes are outstanding.

Korea together

One of the best news items so far is that North and South have combined teams.  They will perform their sports events together. They were given a warm welcome when they arrived. Their presence has helped create a great sporting atmosphere.

Both North and South will not only play sport together but they will work together in presenting the Winter Olympics. Their costumes, though will be different.  But that doesn’t matter. The important thing is that they are together.

There is still a border between the two sides. But friendship is the key
