Cornwall Musicians Play for Food Bank

A marathon day of music helped support local community food bank in Penryn in Cornwall.  Feed Me With Music was a day when musicians from across the region signed up to donate their performances hosted by the Performance Centre at Falmouth University.

Hundreds showed up with hands full of non-perishable food then took in some great free music from some of the areas top musicians in the day long concert January 18.  The Penryn and Falmouth Food Bank is supported by the charity The Trussell Trust and operates from the Highway Church offering food to local people in crisis.

According to the Charity, food banks have spiraled in huge numbers across the UK since 2012.  The economic downturn and benefit cuts have turned more and more hungry people to the free food. talked to the donors
