Queen Elizabeth is a record breaker! February 6 2017 makes her the first British monarch to reign for 65 years! Congratulations Your Majesty you now have Sapphire Jubilee added to your achievements.
There have been gun salutes in Green Park London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and York to celebrate the occasion. But the Queen plans a quiet day at home.
Prime Minister Theresa May offered her congratulations praising the Queen as “truly an inspiration to all of us”.

April 21, 2016 is the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II. She is 90 years old. Celebrations have begun and will continue through the year.
September 9, 2015, the Queen had reigned for 63 years and seven months. This has made her the longest serving Monarch which had been held by Victoria.
Elizabeth II acceded to the throne aged 25 following the death of her father King George VI on 6 February, 1952.
In 2013 she marked the 60th anniversary of her Coronation on Sunday 2nd June. At the time Her Majesty said she would dedicate herself “anew” to the service of the people.
There was an extended holiday weekend, June 2- 5, 2012, for the nation to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The weather was perfect and hundreds of thousands took to the streets to party and enjoy food and fun during the special holiday weekend..
