The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate and Wills, have been saying goodbye to the people of Anglesey as they prepare to move to London. They had become part of the community while Prince William was working in the area.
The new parents carried out their last public engagement in the town without the ‘rascal’ baby Prince George.
Prince William based RAF Valley
Prince William now ended his paternity leave and will be taking up a new military posting. He has been on the island for three years. William worked as a Search and Rescue Pilot at RAF Valley. He said at the end of the work programme that it was an honour to work in such an environment and learning such a skill. But let’s go back a bit and take a look at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge before their wedding day.
Royal Couple’s first visit
The Royal couple were married on 29 April 2011 with the Royal service broadcast live on television to millions around the world. Before the big day Kate and Wills were busy with official engagements and meeting the community. Their first public appearance was in Anglesey, near his work base, followed by a surprise visit to Belfast.
