In August 2011 riots were spreading through England with the London suburb of Ealing badly affected following the outbreak in Tottenham.
It was not clear why the suburb was attacked and took police forces by surprise. The Prime Minister, David Cameron ordered extra security on the streets.
So, more than 16,000 officers patrolled the streets of London following riots in the capital. Police also battled more unrest in Birmingham and Manchester and other parts of England. Back in London in a leafy suburb people swept the streets, closed-up shops early after they had experienced a night of fires and looting.
YNUK.tv caught up with the community as they got together to clear up the streets. One man died in the overnight violence.
