Theresa May Pays Tribute to David and Boris after they resigned from the government.
David Davis dropped the first bombshell about leaving overnight. Then later in the day Boris Johnson also resigned and disappeared.
The former foreign secretary told Theresa May in his resignation letter that the Brexit “dream is dying, suffocated by needless self-doubt.” So far he has not been seen.
This has left Mrs May and her government in crisis say Labour.
But Mrs May claims her plans are “the best way to honour” the result of the 2016 EU referendum.
She took her entire cabinet to her country residence on Friday to try to get agreement on a UK vision for post-Brexit relations.
An agreement was announced after the 12 hour meeting, but many Brexiteers have been unhappy with the deal which they think will lead to the “worst of both worlds”.
The UK is due to leave the European Union on 29 March 2019, but the two sides have yet to agree how trade will work between the UK and the EU afterwards.
What do you think? Where does this leave Mrs May and Brexit. Will we ever get this sorted? The whole thing seems to be in a big mess.
Let us know what you think
